My Butere experience
Like many sons and daughters of Butere, I am a product of an underprivileged background: no big family name, no powerful connections, and no easy options.
Today, I stand before you not because I have made it. But, for one reason: I am, among you, living proof rooted in shared struggles and hard-won experiences that in every child of Butere — in each family in Butere — there is a seed of a better future. A chance to rewrite your family story, step by step, a day at a time.
Regardless of the small beginnings, I have succeeded in school, climbed the corporate ladder in international organisations, managed funds many times larger than most constituencies’ NG-CDF budgets, built local micro-businesses within Butere from the age of 27, and privately supported many families.
